So What’s New?

Well, I have a long list for blogs to come, but it’s as long as the list of ‘need to do today’ in my personal life – don’t get me started on the ‘to do list’ that’s well overdue about the house.

Here are some definites:

BrewDrinkingThinkings  – I felt honoured when Becca of Beckicklesie asked me to write for her Parenting Column in BrewDrinkingThinkings – a most amazing NEW website she has created, to add to the list of successful ones she has. I will be focusing on the NCT (Britain’s largest support network for Parents) and have started the ball rolling with ‘how I became involved with them’. There will be much more to follow and so you need to subscribe to the website for this and many other interesting categories. Go take a look NOW!

The Land of Me – Oh my!  Was I impressed when @Cosmicgirlie (and mocha beanie mummy) introduced me to Land of Me. So much to say, so stay connected to hear about this amazing series of stories and desktop fun for your budding little learners. A must for all toddlers to have in their reading collection.

Swiggies – I’m so impressed by these that I want to tell you all about them and why they are so ‘up my street’ and compliment one of my strongest beliefs: Water – the answer to most things less stressful.  Introduced to me by @SwiggiesukEurop. Check out the website: www.swiggiesuk.com till I tell you why.

EMS – Electrical Muscle Stimulation – a certain @TheBoyandMe was asking about relief for back pain and it’s something I used to use on clients and also have had as a treatment (with and without accupuncture) – watch this space (subscribe by email – over on the right) and I’ll tell you why.

Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party – Every year the NCT (National Childbirth Trust) persuade branches throughout the country to hold an annual Cheeky Monkey’s Tea Party – they are great fun, fabulous for networking, raise awareness of the NCT at branch level and raise funds for the charity. Chorley & Leyland NCT are having theirs on 24/06/11 and it’s my responsibility this year to oarganise it!!!! If you are a small company who have a product that involves children and want to come along and set up stall (for a ‘very’ small fee) please let me know – more on this very soon! http://www.nct.org.uk/cheekymonkeys

Kerry McGreal of Gracie & James – Kids Agency & Toy Store, Chorley has kindly offered to support the Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party. I came across this store by recommendation of a friend – what a find! Stockists of BIGJIG toys and much more. Watch this space for more info…

And as I was updating this post today, Mr Postman brought me a nice big box from Orchard Toys – and so, I will shortly have a review for one of their fabulous board games (once the HonieHouse has had a play and HonieMummy has taken ‘more’ photos). The game we chose was ‘What a Performance‘ and it’s suitable from age 5 to adult – which is ideal for the kids (and big kids) of the HonieHouse.

About HonieMummy (HonieBuk)

Mum of two girls (16 & 9) and step-Mum to one boy (15). All of whom are bright, fun-loving, creative and musical and make me proud and despite his disability (CP) my step-son and family face challenges with a smile and the will to succeed. Love to travel (mainly US/Canada/Scotland), passionate about photography, music is a must, always in HoniesKitchen, love a bit of crafting and I'm learning to knit (maybe even crochet). I'm a networking junkie and of course there has to be time (quality time) with my amazing family! I like to Blog infrequently whenever it takes my fancy and I don't mind sharing my ups and downs, advice and querky ideas with you all. I will mostly post recipes and photos of food, family and travel. I love to review products that my family and me would use - I kinda consider it my 'duty' to let you all know if something is as good as it says on the tin and a 'must buy' product, that all families should know about. Find these in HonieLikes. If you like what you see, please tell me - I work hard at these things :o)
